A Chinese farmer has decided to make pears in the shape of babies.

Fair enough. You’ve got to love the commitment.

The Beatles Rock Band

June 12th, 2009

The biggest band ever + the biggest music game = sure fire money machine.

The incredibly popular Rock Band console game is getting a Beatles specific version. Quite interesting on its own, but check out the cinematic trailer, it is a wonderful piece of animation and looks like it was an absolute riot to work on.

Great job by Passion Pictures and Pete Candeland.

We are proud to announce our sponsorship of a troupe of rare white lions through the Preserve All White Lions iniative (PAWL).

As part of the sponsorship programme our two senior designers Stuart and Mark went over to visit the lions in their natural habitat. On his return Stuart said “It was incredible, they really made us feel part of the group, it’s almost as if they knew that we were responsible for their wellbeing!” Mark was equally excited by the experience, “Wonderful! The alpha male of the group, Geoff , came straight over to me and gently grasped my hand in his mouth and dragged me over to the pride and introduced me to them all. It’s something I’ll never forget!”

Smaller and smaller

so very small

After a really busy week, we visited our local ale house for a well earned beer. It seems the credit crunch is affecting the portions in the pub, my Guinness seems smaller than I remember.

Tilt Shift Photography

March 18th, 2009

We’ve been playing around with tilt shift imagery, a post-processing technique which involves selectively blurring a photo to simulate a narrow depth of field making the image appear to be of a miniature model. The results are pretty cool!

Thanks to Graham Gilhooley for the images taken from the top of the Scott Monument.
