The app was developed by our Digital Team to deliver an innovative, efficient and appropriate way to allow Standard Life employees across the globe to take part in their initiative to become a belief driven business.
70 tablets loaded with the app were sent to tour the globe on a 12-week road show, stopping off at 6 different countries and collecting data from over 4,300 employees.
We also produced the event that inspired the app – Standard Life’s Leadership Conference, in collaboration with Standard Life’s Communications Team, and it won them the Best Employee Communications Event award. All in all, the entire project was a resounding success both for Standard Life as a company and as an example of great communication.
We also received the Highly Commended status for two other projects; CR Team Campaign for Heineken in the category of Best Campaign; and the Gulf Chemicals and Petrochemicals Association 8th Annual Forum in the Best Stakeholder Communications Event category.
There was plenty for our team to be proud of, including producing the awards evening itself. As a tribute to the Commonwealth Games this summer, we decked out the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow for a sports-themed extravaganza. Complete with elaborate hanging graphic flags, a suite of thematic videos and full lighting and audio/visual support, it was a night to remember.
Especially for our fearless leader, Alastair Scott, who was the worthy recipient of this year’s Outstanding Contribution to the Communications Industry Award. In the completely unbiased opinion of all of us here at 20/20, we can’t think of anyone who deserves it more – congratulations!
And well done to all the other winners and highly commended performances!
