Converge Challenge 2016
Scotland’s premier company creation competition is back in full flow and our team have been travelling the length of Scotland to film six finalists in their place of study, getting to know as well as having them to share some of their fascinating stories - some of them we even understood. Converge Challenge, is supported by the universities of Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, St Andrews, Stirling, Strathclyde and Heriot Watt, with the assistance of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and the Scottish Funding Council.
Open to all staff and students at all of Scotland’s universities and Research Institutes, it brings together the most ambitious, creative thinkers from academia, research and business. It also has a prize fund of £100,000.
Converge doesn’t only support the overall winner, it encourages and mentors all entrants throughout the year. This benefits everyone who takes part; keeping a long, glorious history of Scottish entrepreneurship and higher education alive and flourishing.
Winners were announced on 29th September at The Barony Hall, the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, addressed by Deputy First Minister, John Swinney MSP.
